Welcome Week

Welcome Week has numerous events to help you become familiar with the people and places at Pitt-Greensburg, so please plan on participating. In addition to the events listed below, there will be activities each evening sponsored by the Student Activities Board.

Thursday, August 20

9am - 2pmMove-In for Resident Students
New students move in to their residence halls during their assigned time slots. Join the drive-thru check-in line as you approach the Smith Hall parking lot. You'll receive your key, Student ID & a Pitt t-shirt

Think you know what "everyone else" is doing in college? This interactive Kahoot experience will compare your assumptions with your classmates, and you’ll discover what the research really says about alcohol, drugs, and campus social norms. Required for all new students.

This interactive session will explore the ways we can more effectively build community and relationships through a common understanding of a variety of behaviors, both positive and negative. We will discuss ways to effectively communicate through disagreement and also gather student opinions about topics for our Blackburn Center partnered podcast “Is that OK?”

New Student Takeover at 814 Lanes & Games

Join us at 814 Lanes & Games (4589 PA-136, Greensburg) for free bowling, axe throwing, arcade games appetizers & more. Bring your Pitt ID. We encourage those who can drive to do so.

The first shuttle bus leaves campus at 1:45pm. We will also have shuttle buses leaving campus at 2:15pm, 2:45pm and 3:15pm. Bus pickup will be near the Bobcat statue.

  • McFeely’s Ice Cream Truck with free frozen treats from 6 to 8pm
  • A huge inflatable racer obstacle course
  • Custom-made street signs, temporary tattoos and other activities
  • Fireworks at dusk (8:30pm) - grab the perfect seat behind Millstein Library near the soccer field.
