Joan Chambers Concert Series welcomes the Pittsburgh Trombone Project

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg will host the Pittsburgh Trombone Project (PTP) on Friday, Nov. 3, as part of this year’s Joan Chambers Concert Series. The 7:30 p.m. concert in the Mary Lou Campana Chapel and Lecture Center is free and open to the public.

Halloween Spooktacular: War of the Worlds and The Day the Earth Stood Still

For Christina Allaback, PhD, director of theatre at Pitt-Greensburg, the campus’s fall theatre production is a trip down memory lane. She remembers her father pulling out the vinyl album featuring Orson Welle’s The War of the Worlds for the family to listen to as part of their Halloween tradition. Building off of that tradition and memory, Allaback chose two radio plays for this semester’s theatre production.

The McKenna Foundation and The Eberly Foundation recognized for their support of Pitt-Greensburg science programs

Pitt-Greensburg to host American Red Cross Blood Drive as part of Blue & Gold Celebration

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg (150 Finoli Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601) will host a blood drive with the American Red Cross on Thursday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Smith Hall Lounge. The blood drive is open to the public. The American Red Cross states that there is a shortage of blood products and encourages anyone who is eligible to donate to please consider scheduling an appointment.

Scott Szypulski to receive the PGAA Young Alumni Leadership Award

The Pitt-Greensburg Alumni Association (PGAA) will present its 2023 Young Alumni Leadership Award to Scott Szypulski ’14, MBA, at the Alumni Award Celebration Dinner on Saturday, Sept. 30, as part of Blue & Gold Celebration 2023: Homecoming and Family Weekend.

Myron C. Jones II to receive PGAA Alumnus of Distinction Award

Early bird pricing still available for the annual Pitt-Greensburg golf outing

Golfers from throughout the region are invited to play in the annual Pitt-Greensburg Golf Outing, presented by Elliott Group, and are encouraged to take advantage of early bird pricing ($150 per golfer; $600 per foursome) by registering no later than Sept. 6. After that date, registration will increase to $175 per individual and $700 per foursome.
