Dr. Alexandra (Allie) Tegethoff, Ed.D, MSN, RN began her career as a registered nurse in 2013, after graduating with a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Nursing Education, also from Ramapo College of New Jersey, in January of 2016. While working as a nurse, she gained experience with patients across the lifespan in a variety of clinical areas including sub-acute care, ambulatory/primary care, home care, case management, and care coordination. Since 2016, Dr. Tegethoff has taught at multiple higher education institutions including Brookdale Community College, Saint Elizabeth University, and Georgian Court University. She graduated in August of 2025 from Saint Elizabeth University’s Doctor of Education degree program specializing in Educational Leadership. Her dissertation, “Faculty Knowledge and Perceptions of UDL Implementation in Nursing Education,” examined the current state of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework in the field of nursing education.
