The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg Financial Aid Appeal

Our records indicate that your Financial Aid eligibility is now in jeopardy because you have not achieved satisfactory academic progress. You have the opportunity to appeal your case and have your eligibility for Title IV Federal Student Aid reviewed. Title IV Federal Student Aid includes the Pell Grant, Perkins Loan, Work-Study, Stafford Loans, PLUS Loans, and other federal aid programs. Please note, however, that this appeal does not determine your eligibility for the PHEAA State Grant.

This appeal is relevant for those students whose failure to meet satisfactory academic progress can be attributed to "mitigating circumstances" (i.e. serious injury or illness in which the student requires an extended period of recovery, serious illness or death of an immediate family member, etc.). Under such circumstances you should submit a completed appeal, along with all required supporting documentation.

Please complete all of the following information. Be specific in stating your reasons and include what measures you have taken to increase your chances for achieving satisfactory academic progress. You must also provide the necessary documentation. Appeals will not be accepted if they are not complete and/or do not include appropriate supporting documentation.

Please return all information to:
The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg
Academic Affairs, 207 Lynch Hall
150 Finoli Drive
Greensburg, PA 15601

The Vice President for Academic Affairs will review the appeal and notify you in writing of the decision.

If you have questions regarding this process you may contact Academic Affairs at 724-836-9893 or 724-836-9940. If you have questions regarding Financial Aid you may contact the Financial Aid Office at 724-836-9881.
