Scholarships
Each year, the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg awards numerous endowed
scholarships, made available by the generosity of many individuals, clubs,
organizations, industries, businesses and foundatons, to deserving
students.
General Requirements
To be considered for endowed scholarships, all students must:
. Be admitted/enrolled in a degree-seeking program at
Pitt-Greensburg
. Be enrolled/plan to enroll as a full-time student
. Comply with Pitt-Greensburg satisfactory progress
standards for financial aid

Scholarship Selection
The selection of scholarship recipients is based upon the specific criteria
defined by the donor. A student's academic performance and financial need may
also be considered when deciding upon qualified candidates.
The Admissions Office and/or the Financial Aid Office award endowed
scholarships based upon the information available at the time of the award,
including intended major or cumulative GPA, as well as other criteria
designated in the scholarship guidelines. In the event that this information is
inaccurate or changes, the Financial Aid Office has the right to reduce,
change, or cancel the award.
Notification
The Admissions Office and/or the Financial Aid will notify students of their
scholarship awards via an award notification letter. The letter will provide
the recipient information regarding the scholarship and the availability of
scholarship renewal.
Scholarship recipients are expected to write a "thank-you" note to the donor.
The Office of Institutional Advancement will contact the student regarding this
requirement.
Payment
Scholarship awards are generally made for the entire acadmic year and will be
disbursed in two equal installments directly to the students' bill each term;
however, an exception exists. Students who are December graduates may receive
the entire annual award during the fall term upon discretion of the Director of
Financial Aid and as long as the need and cost of attendance are not exceeded.
Students who are participating in study abroad may continue to receive their
scholarship during that term as long as they are enrolled in a Pitt-approved
program.
