The Mary Lou Campana Chapel and Lecture Center

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg is pleased to announce the upcoming dedication of the Mary Lou Campana Chapel and Lecture Center. University officials, the donor whose gift made the building possible, and other special guests will be present for the official ribbon-cutting at 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 13. On Wednesday, November 14, the chapel will be open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. for an open house. Light refreshments will be available throughout the day.

The highlight of the building is the stained-glass artwork designed and installed by Pitt-Greensburg alumnus Terry Bengel, of Greensburg. “The Fountain of Life” is made of lead, glass, steel and brass and celebrates the life-giving powers of water. Mr. Bengel has also done several other stained-glass pieces for Pitt-Greensburg, including the “Upward to the Light” work on the Millstein Library tower.

Parents and students are invited to participate in the opening of this important facility.

The stain-glass has been placed in the triangular window above the entranceway of the Chapel.
