When it comes to interviewing, a little practice goes a long way. Speed interviewing provides a setting where students will experience 15-20 typical interview questions. PLUS they’ll have the chance to network with Pitt-Greensburg alumni and other area professionals.
The set-up is similar to speed dating. Pitt-Greensburg alumni and business professionals will act as the interviewers. Students spend about 5 minutes answering an interview question and receiving feedback. When the bell rings, it’s time to move on to the next interviewer and question!
This event will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2008. If you are a business professional working in the vicinity of Pitt-Greensburg, please consider volunteering as an interviewer. It's a great way to help out our students.
The
Pitt-Greensburg Alumni Association
cordially invite you to 2nd
Annual Pitt-Greensburg Our event is
open to all junior and senior students at Pitt-Greensburg. Guest
interviewers will have 3-5 minutes to "interview" students. Each
volunteer will be responsible for 1 question, which will be provided by
the Office of Career Services, asking every student the same question.
It is our hope that you will provide valuable feedback to the students.

The Pitt-Greensburg campus, along with the other regional campuses of the University of Pittsburgh, will take part in a pilot program for student self- enrollment beginning with the registration for Spring 2009 (2094) classes.
Many students have made an appointment to meet with their advisors. If your son/daughter has not done so, please remind him/her to contact a faculty advisor directly or contact his/her academic advisor by calling 724-836-9940. MANDATORY ADVISING is required to be able to self-enroll. An “Academic Advising Hold” has been placed on all accounts and will be removed once the students have met with their advisors. As always, students will not be able to self-enroll with any type of hold on their account.
Students can check the “Student Services Center” tab on the Pitt portal at my.pitt.edu for their enrollment appointment date and time. Once the appointment begins, students can continue self-enrolling through the add/drop period. Appointments have been assigned according to credits earned, with seniors given the earliest appointments.
Students should continue to watch the Student Services area of the portal for additional information. A video will be available to assist students with the self-enrollment process.
Finally, assistance will be available on October 8 from 8:30am-3:00pm.and October 9 from 8:30am-5:00pm. in the Smith Hall Lounge. Please encourage your son/daughter to stop by if there are any questions.
