Have you volunteered lately?
Students at UPG do hundreds of hours of community service each month throughout
the school year. There are a number of student organizations at UPG that share
similar mission statements - to do good for others through community service.
Still, there are other student groups that - although their mission is not
solely focused on a commitment to volunteerism - do help in the community quite
regularly.
Whether you are involved in a student group that is committed to community
service or not, there is always an opportunity for you to give some of your
time and resources.
The Office of Student Services has compiled a list of many local community
organizations and agencies that consistently use UPG students as volunteers.
This list can be found at http://www.pitt.edu/~upglivin/service.htm
All students admitted for the Fall Term 1999(001) and beyond are required to
complete the new General Education Program requirements.
