St. Clair Park and the Robertshaw Amphitheater
St. Clair Park and the Robertshaw Amphitheater are part of the "cultural triangle" located in downtown Greensburg. Only blocks apart, the
Westmoreland Museum of American Art, the Palace Theater, and the Robertshaw Amphitheater provide a broad mix of cultural activities and events
for Westmoreland County residents and tourists.
The Robertshaw Amphitheater was completed in 1999 through the generosity and vision of John A. Robertshaw, Jr., Greensburg Community Development
Corporation, the City of Greensburg, and local service organizations, businesses and individuals. Their shared commitment has resulted in an
outdoor amphitheater that serves as the centerpiece of St. Clair Park.
Throughout the summer, the SummerSounds concert series is a weekly feature at the Robertshaw Amphitheater. The concerts are an annual favorite
among the residents of Greater Greensburg. SummerSounds is provided without charge to the public through the generosity of many local
businesses, foundations and individuals. "Thanks. I loved the show!" is a comment often heard from the audience.
Adding to the activity in the Robertshaw Amphitheater (and the Westmoreland Museum of American Art) is the Greensburg Film Series. Created in
2005, the Film Series presents family-friendly movies on Saturday evenings at no cost to patrons. During the summer months, the movies are
presented at the Robertshaw Amphitheater. As the seasons change and the weather becomes cooler, the Film Series moves a few blocks away to the
Westmoreland Museum of American Art.
